Last time, I had the opportunity to sit down with the Queen of Zurdonia and her ever-watchful Head of Security. This time, however, I’ve been granted an audience with the man above them both — the Director of Security, Fletcher Novak.

The last time we spoke, I had the privilege of interviewing Queen Elena Markova and her Head of Security, Alexei Novak. Any comment as to why they’re unavailable today?

Fletcher: (A shrug.) It is what I can offer.

Interviewer Note: Not a denial. Not confirmation. Just enough to keep the kingdom breathing.

How is Zurdonia faring in Queen Elena’s absence?

Fletcher: Zurdonia is strong. Resilient. The systems Her Majesty put in place are functioning as intended. She has always ruled with foresight.

So, the kingdom isn’t unraveling?

Fletcher: (A sharper smile this time.) We do not unravel.

Interviewer note: This time, he doesn’t answer immediately.

Fletcher: That she never stops fighting for them. Even when they cannot see it.
