Well, if you do, then author Michele James and her “Foretold” series are right up your alley. I had the opportunity over the last few weeks to read the first two books in the series, with her third book, “Only Mine,” coming out on December 2, 2024. I can’t wait! In anticipation of the new book, I thought I would review the first two books of the series.

Let’s start with book one – “Warrior Mine.”

Warrior Mine is about Lara, the valley’s healer, who is sentenced to serve the garrison for crippling a drunken soldier. She must fight to regain her freedom and keep from losing her heart to Captain Talon Guiscard. Not only must Lara serve Talon, but she also has to come to terms with the fact that he is the very man her foretelling dreams have plagued her about for years—a man she would love only to lose in death.

Warrior Mine is the perfect blend of fantasy and historical romantic suspense. Lara is a sassy, witty, and strong heroine who refuses to let anyone tell her how to think or act. Talon, our strong and protective hero, is centered on doing what is right while navigating his growing attraction and feelings for Lara. Add in the suspense of someone in the valley wanting Lara dead, and Captain Talon has his strongest fight ahead of him.

The second book in the “Foretold” series is “Always Mine.”

Always Mine is about childhood friends Isabeau “Issy” Guiscard and Wilric “Wil” LeCuir, who have been inseparable since they were babes. Issy and Wil aren’t your typical friends; they are a pair who have the ability to know each other’s thoughts and what they are thinking.

Issy, more beautiful and independent over the last seven years, regrets the way things were left between her and Wil. The moment Wil rides back into the valley, he has no idea how dedicated she is to cementing her plans for their future.

Throw in Issy’s love and care for her animals, visions of looming danger, a new resident in the valley who has his eye on Issy for marriage, and a TON of sexual tension between Wil and Issy—and you have Always Mine. This book is a page-turner with no shortage of action, leaving you constantly wanting to know what will happen next to Issy and Wil.

As I mention earlier, the third book of the series, Only Mine is due to come out on December 2^nd.
