Lauren Kutney: Fantasy Romance Author Who Captivates—Suspense, Action, and Love for All Ages

Background:
I have 18 years of experience in human resources, a field that has given me incredible insight into people and their stories. I hold a Master’s in Human Resources & Employee Relations (HRER). Born and raised in South Florida, I grew up in a close-knit family of six—noisy, loving, and always full of life.

Hobbies:
Shopping is my favorite pastime; nothing beats a good retail therapy session. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me catching up on my favorite TV shows and movies. I also love reading, volunteering with the youth at my church, and spending time with my two rescue dogs—Ralphie, my loyal Shepherd, and Henry, my sweet American Bulldog. Supporting organizations like Coastal Boxer Rescue, Wounded Warriors, and St. Jude is important to me, as giving back is something I deeply believe in.

Writing Career:
I published my first standalone novel, Made for Petrova, in March 2023, and I can’t wait to share my next series, The Lost Princess, set for release in early 2025. My stories explore the intricate dynamics of love and relationships, reflecting my desire to capture both the joy and challenges that come with finding love in unexpected places. Ultimately, my writing is a celebration of resilience, hope, and the belief that everyone deserves a happy ending.

Passion for Reading:
I have a strong passion for reading all things romance, especially fantasy, rom-com, romantic suspense, and paranormal. Some of my favorite tropes include enemies to lovers, forbidden love, protector to lovers, slow burns, and employer/employee romances.

Fun Facts:

  • I have a fraternal twin sister (complete opposites)
  • I went sky diving 3 times
  • I have met a President of the United States
  • Opened the first ever WWII dedication in Washington D.C.
  • Played soccer (Forward center)
  • Favorite Book/Movie – Pride and Prejudice  (Matthew MacFayden IS Mr. Darcy)
  • Classic rock, oldies, and country is my favorite music
  • Favorite quote these days: “No body in history has ever calmed down by being told to calm down.”
